On September 21, at the Binhu International Convention and Exhibition Center in Hefei, Anhui, the Sichuan pavilion at the 2026 World Manufacturing Convention drew crowds of visitors and buyers. Appearing as the Guest Province of Honor under the theme "Crossing Mountains and Seas, Linking the Future," Sichuan built a 603-square-meter pavilion focused on six pillar industries — electronic information, equipment manufacturing, advanced materials, energy and chemicals, food and light textiles, and pharmaceuticals and health — along with its "15+N" priority industrial chains. Fifty-six leading enterprises presented 135 signature products.
Inside the pavilion, designed around the concept of "Intelligent Manufacturing in Sichuan," a stylish astronaut and a space-panda sculpture set against a lunar-themed backdrop created a striking atmosphere. A cargo spacecraft model with a wingspan of about eight meters — built by Chengdu Ziwei Space Technology — was a particular draw, with buyers leaning in to study its specifications and inquire about cargo and space-experiment cooperation.
Exhibits ranged from physical products to scale models, including the Yijing X9 premium smart vehicle, a clean and efficient coal-fired power unit, the Volant VE25-100 eVTOL scale model, the Wofei Changkong AE200 electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft, the Baihetan hydroelectric generator unit, the e-Flash ultra-high-dose-rate electron radiotherapy system, Tianqi Lithium's new battery materials, and laser welding equipment from Sichuang Laser.

Sichuan is one of the few provinces in China covering all 41 major industrial categories and 31 manufacturing categories. In 2025, its industrial added value reached RMB 1.84 trillion, ranking seventh nationwide, with three trillion-yuan pillar industries and five national advanced manufacturing clusters.
