SHANGHAI — The 26th China International Industry Fair (CIIF) will be held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) from October 12 to 16. Under the theme "Sichuan Manufacturing · Crossing Mountains and Seas," Sichuan will build a 240-square-meter themed pavilion, bringing together 45 Sichuan enterprises to showcase 121 featured products. Here is a preview of what the pavilion will offer.
A miniature of "Sichuan Manufacturing." Sichuan is one of the few provinces covering all 41 major industrial categories and 31 manufacturing categories, with deep strengths in electronic information, equipment manufacturing, food and light textiles, energy and chemicals, advanced materials, and pharmaceuticals. In recent years the province has advanced its "build circles, strengthen chains" strategy for priority industries and accelerated new quality productive forces.
The Sichuan pavilion is a condensed version of "Sichuan Manufacturing," presenting the brand image and key industrial chain achievements. Three zones — "Foundation, Intelligent Manufacturing, and Integration" — trace the province's full industrial narrative: from precision components, through the complete energy chain, digital platforms and logistics, to low-altitude and aerospace expansion, everyday-life applications, and the online platform.
Design details: concentric glowing light bands evoke the rings of spacetime or satellite orbits in deep space, symbolizing the cohesive core and boundless reach of Sichuan's intelligent manufacturing — its industrial and supply chains circulating efficiently around the globe. A multi-layered metal frame in deep black and pure white, accented with futuristic lighting, resembles a miniature "future-tech eco-capsule," while regional art installations express Sichuan's cultural confidence and the idea that technology ultimately serves everyday life.
The Foundation zone comprises precision manufacturing and smart energy. Precision manufacturing highlights Sichuan's machining, cutting tools, and precision transmission components — the "industrial teeth" and "industrial joints" that underpin the entire equipment-manufacturing chain, from thread cutters and CNC inserts to robot joint parts. Smart energy builds on Sichuan's energy heritage, focusing on generation, transmission and transformation, and intelligent unit O&M for the new-type power system, showcasing breakthroughs in thermal power, nuclear power, and power switchgear.
The pavilion also presents Sichuan's computing foundation: from supercomputing centers to ten-thousand-GPU clusters, from direct green-power supply to intelligent computing dispatch — a solid digital ladder converting every joule of energy into momentum for industry.
The Intelligent Manufacturing zone covers smart platforms and smart logistics: industrial digital foundations, collaborative equipment control, digital twins of chemical pipeline networks, and public industrial-talent platforms that aggregate single-point capabilities into whole-industry strength; and a full chain of smart logistics equipment, from large hub models to community delivery robots, spanning trunk transfer to last-mile delivery.
The Integration zone features the low-altitude economy, smart collaboration, and "smart stars." Tethered drones, aerial lighting robots, and flying life buoys extend low-altitude equipment into emergency rescue, communications relay, surveying and inspection, and water rescue. Robots, AI, and AR step out of the factory into daily life — smart agriculture, home companionship, AR wearables, and elderly care — while commercial space situational-awareness satellites and manned eVTOL aircraft signal the rapid rise of Sichuan's commercial aerospace and crewed aviation equipment.
