Shifang Yinghuashan Pure Natural Food Co., Ltd. was founded in August 2000 in Yinghua Town, at the foot of Yinghua Mountain — a provincial-level scenic area in the middle section of the Longmen Range. Operating on a modern agricultural model that links cooperatives, farming households and the enterprise, the company is engaged in tea production and the primary processing of agricultural by-products, and is designated by Shifang City as one of its key leading enterprises.
The company occupies a 5,800 m² production site with five processing lines and a staff of 12, including two employees with intermediate or senior technical titles and three with bachelor's degrees or above. It maintains long-term technical cooperation with senior tea masters from the Sichuan Tea Research Institute and the Emei Zhuyeqing Tea Factory, and all processing equipment uses first-class domestic brands such as Dengyao and Yongfeng, covering withering, de-enzyming, rolling and drying under standardised procedures.
The product range falls into three groups: Yingzhong green tea, including four green-bud varieties plus Chunganlu, Yinya, Bilvchun and Lvmaofeng; scented tea, including Piaoxue and Huamaofeng; and the Yinghuashan Hongbai tea series in the forms of Jinya, Jinhua, Fangyun, Fangrun, as well as large, medium and small pressed cakes and small canisters. Hongbai tea is graded into buds, flowers, leaves and strips; the leaf is greyish-white with a soft sheen, the aroma pure and crisp with downy notes, the taste clean, sweet and mellow, the liquor clear and yellowish, and the infused leaf tender with abundant bud centres. Brewed, it gives a golden-red liquor with a quiet fragrance and a sweet finish.
The raw material is the rare high-mountain tree Camphora porrecta, which grows in evergreen broadleaf forest at 1,000–1,500 m. Trunks can reach 50 cm in diameter and some trees are 500 years old; Hongbai tea has been consumed locally for more than a thousand years. The trees tower overhead, so pickers must climb more than ten metres to the crown and pick entirely by hand, taking single buds and tender leaves before Qingming. The leaves are then fired using traditional methods, and the Hongbai tea making technique has been listed as intangible cultural heritage of Deyang City.
The company's tea base has been named a pollution-free agricultural product base by Sichuan Province, and its products have won the Gold Award of the Mengding Mountain Cup International Famous Tea competition, the Market Quality Tracking Qualified Product title from the Sichuan Provincial Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision, and the Deyang Famous and Excellent Product award. Besides tea, the company also offers Yinghuashan-brand agricultural specialities such as wild snowbud vegetables, fern and houttuynia, dried white-stem bamboo shoots and mountain-cured pork.
