Afternoon of October 12: The 26th China International Industry Fair (CIIF) Sichuan Pavilion Side Event — "Sichuan Chains, Smart Manufacturing · Digital Future" AI + Smart Manufacturing Yangtze River Delta Supply-Demand Matchmaking & Investment Promotion Conference was held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). Guided by the Sichuan Provincial Department of Economy and Information Technology and the Chengdu Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology, and organized by the Chengdu High-Quality Products Supply-Demand Enterprise Alliance, the event saw over ten preliminary cooperation intentions reached on site, covering product matching, technology cooperation, and project inspections.
Nearly 100 Participants from Sichuan, Shanghai, and Jiangsu for On-Site Matchmaking
This event was part of the "Sichuan Manufacturing · Crossing Mountains and Seas (Shanghai Stop)" series. Focusing on areas such as industrial robots, smart equipment, industrial automation, industrial software, and industrial internet, it organized Sichuan's high-quality production capacity to connect with Yangtze River Delta buyers, anchor enterprises, investment institutions, and industrial parks. The venue brought together nearly 100 representatives from anchor enterprises, national-level "Little Giant" specialized and sophisticated enterprises, high-growth companies, industrial parks, chambers of commerce, and investment institutions in the smart manufacturing sector from Sichuan, Shanghai, and Jiangsu.
In his opening remarks, Shi Xiping, Deputy Secretary of the Party General Branch of the Sichuan Provincial People's Government's Shanghai Office, stated that the Yangtze River Delta (YRD) concentrates top talent, core technologies, and application scenarios, while Sichuan, as a major western industrial province and the core carrier of the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle, boasts a complete industrial system, abundant computing power resources, and rich industrial scenarios — the two regions enjoy strong industrial chain complementarity. He introduced that Sichuan is deepening its special action to empower new industrialization with artificial intelligence, promoting "intelligent transformation and digitalization" in manufacturing, and has formed a smart manufacturing industry pattern with Chengdu as the core and coordinated development among Chengdu, Deyang, and Mianyang.
"Industrial Taobao" Platform Launched On-Site
At the event, the "Chenggong Jingxiao · Industrial Taobao" platform completed its AI + Smart Manufacturing special release. Launched at the end of September 2025, the platform focuses on supply-demand matching in the industrial sector, extending short-term exhibition matchmaking into long-term online matching. According to reports, the platform currently hosts nearly 6,000 enterprises, lists over 50,000 industrial products, has conducted more than 60 online and offline production-marketing promotion activities, and has driven total supply-demand transaction volume across the industrial chain to exceed 10 billion yuan.
During the enterprise roadshow session, 4 Chengdu enterprises and 4 Yangtze River Delta enterprises pitched together. Chengdu-based companies including Sichuan Xinrong Cable, Chengdu Yuefan Innovation, and Chengdu Baide Postal Equipment showcased industrial digital solutions, smart cables, and intelligent specialized equipment. Yantra Software (Shanghai), Zhixing Robotics (Suzhou), Daissey Software (Shanghai), and Shanghai Wanka Technology presented industrial AI, intelligent robotics, and industrial automation implementation solutions.
Four industrial parks — Chengdu Future Science and Technology City, Chengdu Chenghua Economic Development Zone, Tianfu Digital Intelligence Industrial Park, and Sichuan Dayi Economic Development Zone — delivered集中推介 (collective pitches), targeting high-end equipment, industrial software, and AI projects from the Yangtze River Delta.
Enterprise and Park Feedback
Chen Lingfeng, representative of Sichuan Xinrong Cable, said that while previous client engagement was mostly online, this event enabled face-to-face meetings with upstream and downstream partners in Shanghai. The company has already reached preliminary matching intentions with two Yangtze River Delta industrial equipment enterprises, with sample testing and supporting cooperation to follow.
Jiang Wei, head of Yantra Software Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., noted that Sichuan's manufacturing sector has a solid foundation and rich industrial scenarios, making it a prime market for industrial AI technology deployment. He looks forward to combining Chengdu's industrial scenarios for production line intelligent transformation cooperation.
Tu Jun from the Administrative Committee of Chengdu Chenghua Economic Development Zone said that two Yangtze River Delta enterprises at the event have clearly expressed intentions to conduct on-site inspections in Chengdu and explore investment and layout opportunities.
Upcoming Event Schedule
According to the organizer, this session completed one-on-one discussions covering supply chain procurement, joint technology R&D, production line digital transformation, and project investment, resulting in over ten preliminary intentions on site for product matching, technology cooperation, project inspections, and supply chain procurement.
The "Sichuan Manufacturing · Crossing Mountains and Seas (Shanghai Stop)" series will continue: on the morning of October 13, the "Ronghu Chip Link · Winning the Future with Intelligence" AI + Electronic Information Yangtze River Delta Supply-Demand Matchmaking Event will be held; from the afternoon of the 13th to the morning of the 14th, Chengdu enterprises will also be organized to visit Huahong Grace, United Imaging Healthcare, and Qianshi Technology for on-site tours.
