Sichuan Shifang Nongke Chemical Co., Ltd. (Nongke Chemical) is located in Group 12, Gonglin Village, Hefeng Town, Shifang City, Deyang, Sichuan Province, inside the Hefeng Industrial Development Zone about 60 km from Chengdu and well served by road and rail. Founded on 22 May 2003 under unified social credit code 91510682749618814C, the company is a limited liability company (invested or controlled by natural persons) with a registered and paid-in capital of RMB 10 million, led by legal representative Zhou Zongmo, and is registered as a general VAT taxpayer. The site covers more than 50,000 square metres (about 100 mu) with 20,000 square metres (about 30 mu) of buildings. It employs 150 people, including 15 technicians and engineers, and holds fixed assets and working capital of over RMB 30 million each.
The company has specialised in potassium nitrate for more than twenty years and now operates three potassium nitrate lines with an annual capacity of 51,000 tonnes of agricultural grade, 20,000 tonnes of industrial grade and 5,000 tonnes of photoelectric grade, together with more than 24,000 tonnes of by-product ammonium chloride. Two additional prilling lines produce 10,000 tonnes a year of granular potassium nitrate in various size grades, and the company also runs a 10,000 t/y powder water-soluble fertiliser line and a 5,000 t/y liquid line. Built on a double decomposition core process, the plant integrates raw material purification, reaction, evaporation and crystallisation, prilling and packing, making Nongke one of the largest dedicated potassium nitrate producers in southwest China.
The range covers industrial, photoelectric and agricultural grade potassium nitrate, potassium nitrate for agriculture (13.5-0-46), nitrogen-potassium fertiliser, high-tower prilled potassium nitrate and the Shudafeng brand macro-element water-soluble fertiliser (20-20-20+TE). Potassium nitrate assay is held above 99.7% and reaches 99.9% in the top grade, in line with GB 1918-2011, GB/T 20784-2013 and NY 1107-2010 and in several respects exceeding the national standards. Applications include glass and optical glass, chemical strengthening of tempered glass, fireworks and pyrotechnics, ceramic glazes, colour picture tubes, pharmaceuticals and chemical reagents, metal heat treatment and compound fertilisers, while the water-soluble fertiliser series serves vegetables, fruit trees, tea and tobacco. The company is certified to ISO 9001 and holds the national industrial product production licence, the work safety licence for hazardous chemicals and fertiliser registration; products are tested by SGS and the National Hazardous Chemicals Quality Supervision and Inspection Centre and are sold throughout China and exported.
