Sichuan Lomon New Material Co., Ltd. (brand "Lomon New Material") was established on 3 May 2012 with registered capital of RMB 20 million. It is located in the Lomon Gypsum Building Materials Industrial Park, Xinshi Industrial Park, Mianzhu City, Sichuan Province. The company is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sichuan Lomon Phosphate Chemical Co., Ltd., under Lomon Dadi Agricultural Co., Ltd., whose ultimate controlling shareholder is Sichuan Development Lomon Co., Ltd. (listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, stock code 002312, with the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Sichuan Province as the actual controller). Dedicated to the R&D, production and sales of phosphogypsum comprehensive utilisation and gypsum building materials, it is one of the earliest enterprises in China to implement phosphogypsum utilisation and has a phosphogypsum processing capacity of 2.3 million tonnes per year.
Using phosphogypsum, a by-product of the phosphorus chemical industry, as raw material, the company carries out technical research and industrial application around the principles of reduction, harmlessness and resource utilisation. It has built a complete phosphogypsum building material product system with an annual capacity of 3 million tonnes of purified gypsum, 900,000 tonnes of cement retarder, 1.2 million tonnes of building gypsum powder, 200,000 tonnes of α high-strength gypsum, 400,000 tonnes of gypsum mortar, 6 million square metres of gypsum strips and 1.2 million tonnes of harmless phosphogypsum engineering materials.
The main products include gypsum powder materials such as β building gypsum powder, α high-strength gypsum powder and cement retarder; gypsum mortars such as bonding gypsum, lightweight gypsum plaster and gypsum self-levelling mortar; gypsum products such as high-density gypsum blocks and gypsum wallboard; as well as lightweight aggregates such as expanded perlite. They are widely used in internal partitions, wall plastering, floor levelling, precision casting and high-end building materials, and can replace cement-based materials to promote the sustainable development of the building materials industry.
The company is committed to innovation-driven development and has carried out industry-university-research cooperation with the China Building Material Test & Certification Group (CTC), Southwest Jiaotong University, the Sichuan Research Institute of Building Materials, the Sichuan Academy of Building Research and Sichuan University, jointly developing phosphogypsum harmless treatment technology. Its patented technology "a phosphogypsum curing agent" effectively solves the water stability problem of harmless phosphogypsum used as road-building material. The company now holds a number of invention and utility model patents and registered trademarks, and relies on innovation platforms such as the National Enterprise Technology Centre and the Sichuan Engineering Research Centre for continuous technical research.
In April 2022, the company's gypsum strips passed the on-site certification audit of CTC and obtained the national "Green Building Material Product Certification" certificate, becoming the first gypsum strip manufacturer in China to pass this certification. Its self-developed "complete technology for cascade high-value utilisation of low-grade industrial gypsum" won the First Prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award of the China Association of Circular Economy for 2024, and was awarded the 2025 Excellent Case of Industrial By-product Gypsum Resource Utilisation Technology and the 2025 Excellent Case of Green Building Materials Rural Promotion in the Field of Solid Waste Disposal and Utilisation. Adhering to the concept of green development, the company strives to build the "sulphur-phosphorus-titanium-iron-lithium-calcium" multi-resource green circular economy industrial chain and contributes to the green and low-carbon transformation of the phosphorus chemical industry.
