A rutile titanium dioxide pigment made by the chloride process with aluminium and organic surface treatment, designed specifically for polycarbonate. PC is processed at 280–320 °C and is highly sensitive to pigment volatility, thermal stability and catalytic activity; a dense alumina coating combined with low-volatility organic treatment markedly improves yellowing resistance and resistance to polyester-system degradation, so colour stays stable and the balance of opacity and light transmission holds after long high-temperature runs. It also gives high hiding power, good dispersion and outstanding dry-powder flow, fitting white PC parts with high pigment loadings such as LED diffusers, optical reflectors, electronics and appliance housings, switch panels and automotive interior trim. Typical values: TiO2 ≥93%, volatiles at 105 °C ≤0.4%, resistivity of aqueous extract ≥50 Ω·m, to GB/T 1706-2006. Packed 25 kg in paper-plastic bags with PE liner, or 500 kg and 1000 kg bulk bags.
