Sichuan Nengtou Yongli Chemical Co., Ltd. was established on January 11, 2022, with a registered capital of RMB 465 million, registered in Guang'an Economic and Technological Development Zone, Sichuan. Directly managed by Sichuan Chemical Group - the core sub-group of Sichuan Energy Development Group, a provincial state-owned capital investment company formed in 2025 with a registered capital of RMB 31 billion and assets of nearly RMB 400 billion - the company is fully responsible for the construction and operation of the 80,000 t/a natural gas-based fine chemicals project, a key Sichuan provincial construction project in 2023 with a total investment of about RMB 1.675 billion covering about 404 mu. Upon full operation it is expected to generate an annual output value of about RMB 1.3 billion and annual taxes and profits of about RMB 150 million.\\nBased on proprietary technology for natural gas-to-hydrogen cyanide and downstream products developed by the Sichuan Academy of Natural Gas Chemistry (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sichuan Chemical Group), the project uses natural gas and ammonia as main feedstocks to synthesize hydrogen cyanide and intermediates, producing 12 main products - iminodiacetonitrile, anilinoacetonitrile, sodium ferrocyanide, diaminomaleonitrile, azo initiators, orthoformates, mandelic acid, pyrimidines, etc. - plus by-products such as ammonium sulfate, ammonium chloride, and sodium chloride.\\nPracticing the principle of 'green, low-carbon, technology-empowered', the project features waste gas and waste liquid incineration with heat recovery, high waste-heat utilization, self-balancing heating, and effective three-waste treatment and energy saving. The 12 main products are used in new energy materials, dyes, pesticides, and pharmaceuticals.
