Known as the 'MSG' of steel. Improves wear resistance, corrosion resistance, toughness, strength, ductility, hardness and thermal fatigue resistance, and gives good weldability. In HSLA steel it achieves more effective precipitation strengthening and grain refinement, saving 20%-40% vanadium versus ferrovanadium.
