Intangible Heritage Cultural & Creative
Uniting three national-level intangible cultural heritages rooted in Chengdu, woodblock printmaking, Xue Tao paper and Shu brocade weaving, this work draws inspiration from Jiaozi, the world's earliest paper currency.
Through the artisanal craft of woodblock rubbing, designs are impressed onto refined Xue Tao paper mounted upon sumptuous Shu brocade, embodying the ancient Shu's acumen in wealth and its refinement in scholarly elegance within a compact format.
