The GES series is the company's own excitation system, in its fifth generation with over 700 units in service on hydro, coal, gas, nuclear and synchronous condenser units. Controller cycle is below 0.1 ms, with passive multi-redundant de-excitation and overvoltage protection, an independent redundant synchronising card, full-band seamless pulse strong firing, hardware frequency-adaptive sampling, 1 ms multi-channel recording, inter-phase and inter-cabinet current sharing better than 0.95, on-line replacement of secondary parts and optional intelligent diagnosis. The Hualong One static excitation system broke foreign monopoly and serves the world's first Hualong One unit.
